Print of my original mixed acrylic and digital painting. It has been believed for centuries that our ethereal curtain begins to thin around the end of October, just as our days start to shorten and nights grow longer. As the darker half of the year ushers in, it is said that the spirit world and living world are able to connect most easily. It’s why many of us call it Spooky Season. Cultures across the globe celebrate this transition with festivities. In America, we know it as Halloween, in Mexico it is Día de los Muertos, and in pagan culture, it’s celebrated as Samhain.
